Bun in the Oven

I have taken quite a bit of time off from the blog lately. Actually i've taken quite a bit of time off from everything lately!

I have not been well at all. I have been dizzy, not able to keep food or water down, and extremely tired.
After a trip to the doctor and having a blood test, I found out that I AM PREGNANT!

My hubby and I have wanted a child for a while. I first fell pregnant last year, but we unfortunately lost the baby at 13 weeks. So I have been very worried about telling anyone that I am up the duff now just in case.

I am taking every wonderful day as it comes, even if it means I have my head in the toilet all day and night long from morning sickness!

I haven't felt like cooking or baking let alone eating anything. I was hoping to be able to go to Sydney to see my family to enjoy the festive celebrations, but I don't think I can even make the car trip down there...

Hopefully if all goes well, this time next year we will have a new little addition to our family for Christmas 2011! I can't wait! I am still in shock that I am even pregnant, besides the horrendous symptoms haha. I am 13 weeks, but dont have much of a belly yet to show anyone.

My husband bought me the most amazing birthday present, back in November a pink kitchenaid!!!! I have wanted a kitchenaid for as long as I can remember. The beloved kitchenaid still sits in the box, begging me to start baking again! Hopefully I will be able to get into the kitchen again soon.

  5. I can't help posting congratulations here as well, particularly as I know now why this means so very, very much to you (although I'm sure it would anyway). I'm so sorry you had to go through losing your first baby - so wish I could really hug you right now. This baby is so lucky to have you as a mother - and I can't wait to follow along as your family expands to meet him/her :)

  7. Congratulations, what exciting news! I hope the morning sickness goes away soon though, how exhausting for you.

Jealous about your Kitchenaid! I'm currently saving up for one and hope to have it in a couple of months. The only real dilemma is which colour to choose!

  8. Thanks Julia! I know a kitchenaid is so expensive, but well worth the price. I know what you mean about the choice of colour it is crazy! But i went with pink cause I had a few pink baking accessories already, i like to match things :)
